Week 5 - exam and a little bit of everything =)

Yeah, sunday was spent studying from morning to night - and I think it payed off =)

Still waiting for the results but I'm 99,9% sure that I passed !!!

Okey - a piece of advice to everyone studying in a foreign country;
Start studying for an exam in good time - that's basic knowledge really, and something you should apply for all studies no matter where you are - but, here's the thing;

Your first exam in a new country, new city, new subject and new teacher - it's always going to be a bit nerve wrecking since you have no idea how this exam is going to be - it takes some getting used to, some time to realise how this particular teacher likes his/hers exams and if everyone that's told you "Oh relax, it's easy!" is correct or not - 'cause let's face it, what's easy over here might be the same as extremly hard back at home... How do I know until I've gone through that first exam? well, I don't...

And that's why it's sooo much easier if you've started studying on time - 'cause then all you have to worry about is how the exam's going to be, and not if you know your stuff or not - 'cause it really takes it out on ya, if you have to think about both at the same time... Believe me!

So I would've felt better if I'd had two more days to revise, but now I didn't, so I just had to suck it up and try to make it work - and it did =)

I won't say the exam was easy - all the revision I did was necessary, and some more wouldn't have been a bad idea - but out of 50 questions I only took a shot at three, so I either actually knew something, or I thought I did =) we'll all see when the results come

This week the weather has been bad - and I mean really bad...
Lisa actually sent me a message wondering if everything was alright, since she's read about the floodings going on - and yeah, even if we didn't have any floodings, we sure did have loads of rain... And when it rains here, it's not fun... It's sticky, massive and overwhelming... I guess this is the price you pay when you're in the tropics...

So tried to stay indoors monday-wednesday, until it cleared at last on thursday

and that was just in time for the poster sale!! yippie!! finally I can my room to look like MY room =)

Other stuff that happened;

- went to BodyAttack on monday, step on thursday and the gym on saturday
- worked my five hours at BotH on wednesday
- went to Kotara (massive shopping centre over there) and bought a bodyboard!
- booked a flight to Tasmania for five days in may - yohooo!!!
- went to Sydney on friday for a day of shopping (see pics)
and went to a Knights rugby game on sunday =) (see more pics)

Sydney pics:

On the morning train to Sydney - Hayley's taking a nap while Katie and I enjoy the view =) There's some amazing scenery along the rail, but I can't really capture it that well with my camera....

Lunch! hehe, I know, I'm degrading and going so far down hill that you can't barely see me anymore... Wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sause + a mixed berry smoothie with an extra spoon of passion fruit (my idea - turned out to be a mistake... some things just don't match..)

And some funny animal that I sure do not want to eat - the throat's a bit too long...

Paddy's Market and China town!

Sydney Library and some more nice buildings

Here Mamy - look - a hairdresser!
It's like a victorian mansion in there - if you only could place all your wooden sticks, rocks and stones, this place would be lovely!

Before heading back, we headed into Three Wise Monkeys for a glass of beer/wine and some girl talk =)

And before you knew it, we were back in front of our old place (WakeUp!) right by the Central Station, and it was time to go back home!

Rugby pics;

They had some really awesome cheerleaders!!! Grandma you would have so made their team! =) they were sooo cute =D

After some time the little younger cheerleaders came out to play

Our mascot - The Knight!

And yeah, we rock - the Knights won 26-12 - haha, in your face Manly!!

'Though I'm happy I'm not one of the cleaning people...

And now it's Sunday evening - and I've once again arrived at TODAY - so right now I'm completely up to date with all you guys =)

and I can actually get more stuff done tonight - 'cause now we're changing into wintertime down here, so it'll be 8hours ahead of Sweden, just so you know

Tjoho! I got one extra hour! =)

turned out I kinda forgot about it, I thought it was changing the night between sunday-monday, 'cause everyone kept going on about sunday night... So when I went up this morning it wasn't 9.30 - it was 8.30 - sweet!

----

What's even more sweet is that the results for the exam came yesterday - I got 45 out of 50 points, that's 90% baby! High Distinction (their version of MVG)! Yihaa!

sweet aaaaazzzz!

  1. Ditt rum är inte lika fint som det i Gbg, men very nice indeed! :) Själv ska jag på återbesök till Götet om en dryg vecka, blir underbart!
